    Easy Template Configuration

  • Any existing HTML page can be easily adopted to be used as a Web Tool template.
  • There are four tags that must be embedded into the page, designating four areas of the page: the title, the top directory path banner, the left column link list and the main text area. Web Tool uses this tag information to place the dynamic text content into the template. This easy process is fully documented in our Administrator's Guide.
  • When that HTML page is placed in the designated template directory, it can be selected by the user using a pull-down menu on the editor page. When the user ends the edit session static HTML files are written to the designated output location, combining the user text content with the pre-existing HTML template formatting.
  • An administrator can also change the appearance of many pages in a single operation by changing the underlying template file; all pages using that template will all be regenerated the next time the Web Tool editor writes the static HTML pages (selecting 'Regenerate All Pages'). Template bugs and problems can be fixed at any time and all pages can be rewritten to their proper location with a single click.
